2024 WIOA Youth Career Exploration Camp

Through a partnership with Wytheville Community College(WCC), the New River Mount Rogers Workforce Development Board, and People Incorporated, provided over 30 young people between the ages of 17 and 24 hands-on career exploration for high demand and sustainable careers in our region.

Kent, who participated in a number of the board’s grant-funded programs, talks about his experience transitioning into employment. He was referred by Virginia Works and participated in the Advanced Manufacturing Technician training through the Center for Manufacturing Excellence of SWVA.
