The RURAL PUBLIC HEALTH WORKFORCE TRAINING PROGRAM is a collaborative training opportunity funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to the Virginia Rural Health Association. The New River/Mount Rogers Workforce Development Board is a sub-recipient of funds, leveraging federal, state, and local funds to support participant needs. Pathways to a Strong and Healthy Region is a $3,151,445 project. $1,494,000 is provided through a Federal grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission POWER initiative. $1,657,445 is provided through matched sources, including local, state, and federal funds.
